I have 2 issues to deal with, I'm left handed and I prefer to carry my Ruger P-89 9mm, mostly because of the ambidextrious saftey it has. But I'm having a problem finding a good CC holster, it seems that if you don't own a Glock you almost SOL for finding something decent. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I guess we should ask what your definition of a good CCW holster is.
OWB? IWB? Open top? Thumb-break? Retention screw?

Galco has their COP-3 series holster for the P-89 available in LH style.

For carry with a suit coat or similar length jacket, their F.L.E.T.C.H. holster can be had with a thumb-break too.

It won't win any beauty prizes, but I've heard nothing but raves for the Crossbreed SuperTuck holster system which you can get for the P-89 in a LH rig.

I know, it's an old posting and probably a moot point, but on the same vein as a Crossbreed Holster, Kholster is very similar and about half the price! Very comfortable and since I went to this rig? No printing problems... posting.php?mode=quote&f=5&p=267#

Another excellent source of holsters is Rob Leahy at Simply Rugged (http://www.simplyrugged.com). I have been using their Silver Dollar pancake holster for the past year as my concealed carry holster. It works IWB with the optional straps, OWB, attached to a belly band (my favorite carry method), and (for females) attached to a good support bra. The holster is solid/sturdy, well built and perfectly fitted to my gun (not surprising; they're all custom made), and the pancake design blurs the outline of the gun extremely well. Even in the middle of summer, I can conceal my fairly hefty S&W Model 60 convincingly under loose shorts and a non-clingy t-shirt. (Which is what I'd normally be wearing outside of work in that weather.)
